They can win if they’re hot and healthy going into the play offs.

Maybe Kyrie knows that this is all on Durant so he’s on autopilot. He’s the one that has to ball out against the Lakers and spell LeBron if/when they meet in the finals.

Why put it all on KD though if that's supposed to be your boy? Especially since he is coming off an injury himself and picked you of all people to play with. It's not like they have Dinwiddie now to help with the ball handling duties in Kyrie's absence. KD has an injury prone history himself just as KD does to have to be the one picking up the slack all alone.

Yea and you would be cut or traded. Kyrie has been exceptional with the Nets and is the key to them winning the finals. The Nets weren't no damn contender before kyrie got there, they were a cute playoff story...thats it

Has he really been exceptional with the Nets tho? He’s had some great individual games.

Don’t make me waste my time googling.

You can tell which people in here have actual careers and which people don't.:manny:.

You can tell which people are adults and take responsibility for their actions and which people will make excuses and blame everyone and everything except the person in the mirror.:yeshrug:.

A lot of these dudes are just fronting.

They aren't following the same rhetoric in real life as they are speaking about in this thread. They'd be scared to leave the house out of fear of seeing their boss/co-worker out in public if they faked a sick day.

Nah. You can't compare a common man's career to a dude playing a game for millions. I don't know why yall keep making this mistake. A regular career does not give an individual the leverage or privilege of a professional athlete. Its not the same. Period.

As the NBA is expected to review videos circulating on social media of a maskless Kyrie Irving at what appears to be a family birthday party, there is no belief the Brooklyn Nets guard will return to the team's lineup this week, sources told ESPN.

Irving was already ruled out of his fourth straight game Tuesday night against Denver, and sources say that at a minimum, he is expected to miss Wednesday's game against New York and Saturday's against Orlando. His absence has been attributed to personal reasons.

In the videos -- which began being widely shared on Monday night -- a smiling Irving is dancing with his sister, Asia, on a confetti covered floor and clapping as she blows out candles. If the video is found to be recent, it could be a breach of the league's coronavirus protocols.

The league's COVID-19 guidelines forbid players from going to clubs, bars and lounges. They also ban attending social gatherings of more than 15 people.

This investigation comes during a turbulent week, as the league is re-evaluating its coronavirus health and safety rules. The league has canceled three games this week as positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing quarantines mounted.

The NBA Board of Governors is holding a special meeting on Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Team general managers had a call on Monday, focused on tightening the protocols.

The NBA has investigated other health and safety violations this season. In December, Black Sports Online published a video of James Hardenpartying, without a mask, purportedly at a Houston club's Christmas party. After an investigation, the league fined the Houston Rockets star $50,000 and he had to quarantine for four days while returning daily negative COVID-19 tests.

Harden never missed a game.

If a player misses a game for a COVID-19 violation, they would lose 1/72nd of their salary, according to league rules.
