swap kyrie for chef what you think happens¿

you see chef getting the cavs over the hill having to work out the iso with no secret.service picks or shooters to keep defenses from collapsing hard on him¿

You do realize the Cavs had more shooters than the Warriors did in '15/'16, right? The sheer presence of Curry on the court has got y'all muh'fukkas thinking Draymond, Iggy and Barnes were actually some shooters like that. Lord have mercy.

The Warriors system is built around capitalizing on the defensive attention that Curry receives (you ever wonder why muh'fukkas like Draymond, Iggy, Barnes etc had more space to work with than any other role players in the game?) - more than any single player in NBA history. All it took was for him to quicken his release and rebuild his body to be a superstar. Those are the facts. The sooner you can acknowledge the facts, the sooner your hating ass can be at peace.

This has to be a troll thread.

What’s so hard for OP to understand that Kyrie was WAAAY more developed as a basketball player than steph was coming out of High School :dwillhuh:

Steph didn’t blow till a couple years into college and even after his breakout year he went back to develop more as a PG.

Kyrie played only a couple games in college due to injury and was STILL the #1 overall pick.

Steph didn’t become a superstar till a couple years ago.

Why, tho?

Steph was in the home of a pro, and dude was even allowed at Raptor practices, and in the layup line and shyt. This dude was exposed to NBA level ball like it was an everyday part of life. Kyrie was in the home of a non-NBA, pro. That is a privileged place to be in, but not as privileged as Steph's.

Had a convo with a friend, and he was talking about Steph vs Kyrie. After the convo was over, it got me to thinking:

Kyrie was recruited by Duke, and was consensus top 5 in his class and Steph wasn't in the top 100 for some recruiting sites. He and Steph are very similar in terms of build and athleticism. Steph was the son of an NBA player, and highly skilled. None of the big programs recruited him and he ended up at Davidson.

How in the HECK did that happen? Any HS/CBB fans can recall back to those time frames and remember what happened?
Coach K has many times expressed regret for not recruiting Steph Curry, which is why he went after Seth when Seth announced his transfer from Liberty. I think Seth was recruited by Virginia tech...actually I think both were, as Dell went to Virginia tech. I don't think they wanted to play for Seth Greenberg

Steph is a classic example of a late bloomer, but With Dell Curry being the best player ever to come out of Virginia Tech you would think his son would at least get a chance to walk on there but Seth Greenberg thought differently :francis:
.When Kyrie transferred into st. Patrick's his junior year and prior to the season starting Kevin Boyle said that Kyrie had a chance to be the best guard to ever come out of Jersey a lot of people paid close attention. When Kyrie played well during the season but then went beast mode during AAU season the hype was through the roof after that.
Also this. Kyrie commited to Duke his junior year, just before his stock blew up that summer and into his senior year. He wasn't the top pg until the end of his senior year, and that was debatable since other sites had Josh Selby at number 1. Was really surprised Josh Selby didn't pan out at KU

Because individuals develop at different rates my dude.

You can’t just cause person A was in this situation he should be the same a person B

If that was the case Jordan’s kids should be in the NBA, but it doesn’t work that way.

At least Steph had the talent.

I figure if the talent is there, and you were in the perfect environment to develop your talent, you SHOULD be an EARLY bloomer if anything.

BUUUT, I get it. Even if that is the case, there are exceptions to everything.

I always figured late bloomers were people who had little to no exposure sufficient to what is needed to help them develop at a normal rate.

Eh, even when he was in the nba, nobody saw Steph being STEPH, until he actually became it.

I’m not trying to boast, but I did :manny:

I didn’t see him winning 2 mvps though :hubie:

But when that year when the team was clicking and he started to reach his peak I knew Warriors were going to win it all
