Discuss! I saw this film YEARS (maybe 7-8) ago just randomly, at like 3am on IFC.. and the effect was so great I've always thought about it every couple of years.. something no other film has ever done for me.

Just finished watching it for the first time since then, fukk me it's so intense.

Any other recommendations, for those who are familiar?

Haven't been in the movie scene for years so I'm basically a noob.. but experiences like these, get me inspired and enthusiastic for the medium once again..

one of my favorite movies of all time. Vincent Cassell was so gully in this. But what was up with the end though? I remeber at certain time alot of people were were saying it was tryiing to be like Pul[ Fiction because of the long dialogues that were filled with pop culture or dialogues that caught you off guard.

I forget why breh shot him at the end. I'm a little drunk right now, so please forgive my stupidity

I saw this gem in film class.

I was in awe how the Parisian ghetto, projects, discrimination, and police curroption was no different from the plight over here.

Didn't expect Vincent Cassell character could get shot in the head at the end

It also introduced me to some dope French Hip-Hop.

Oh man, what's that French movie about the teacher who goes to teach at the fukked up school? Very recent, maybe last 2-3 years.

I need to see that. Heard very good things about it.

French cinema > Hollywood.

I remember being skeptical of this movie, like "A french movie? :childplease:"

But then the intro quickly changed my mind:

i love this french (with tunisian characters) film, Cous-Cous.

Ali Zoua, dope flick set in north africa, spoken in french and arabic.
Ali, Kwita, Omar and Boubker are street kids. The daily dose of glue sniffing represents their only escape from reality. Since they left Dib and his gang, they have been living on the portside of Casablanca. They live in constant fear of Dib's revenge. Ali wants to become a sailor - when he was living with his mother, a prostitute, he used to listen to a fairy tale about the sailor who discovered the miracle island with two suns. Instead of finding his island in the dream, Ali and his friends are confronted with Dib's gang. Matters are getting serious
