I was 10 but I used to stay with her everyday after school. I remember the day she got really sick. She was like so many of us that don't like going to the doctor. One day I was sitting with her and she went to take a bath and she collapsed in the tub so naturally I went to check on her but she responded like she was in pain. She said she sneezed and a sharp pain went through her back and chest and it was unbearable pain because she couldn't get up. Well I helped her up and noticed her head was bleeding but she kept saying she was ok. Well I called my mom and she said call 911 anyway. I remember them saying there were some spots they wanted to look at and she ended up staying I think for a night or 2. So she went to the doctor and about a week later or so (can't really remember) for a follow up and the doctor was saying she had breast cancer but it was too bad to operate because it spread but they'll do whatever they can but said they didn't even know how she was alive at that point and even saw spots on her brain. So literally within a few months she went from what I remembered her as which was a big lady, I'd say about 200lbs or so to less than 100 and I was even there when she passed away because I went to see her everyday after school.
