i need a haircare routine for my daughter

My BM is slacking and now I gotta step up

School me.

My girls 2 years old, black & I don’t like the fact my BMhasnt got a Haircare routine for her.. My daughters hair is barely 1 inch long! + it doesn’t look healthy (to me).

You need a wide tooth comb to comb thru
A rattail comb to part her hair
Some grease to grease the part...get some blue magic
Rubber bands, the black ones
A leave in conditioner/detangler spray
A moisturizer of some sort like Pink Lotion

I am unsure whether you plan on doing her hair yourself or not so I will leave my list at that.

You could always take her to any female relative and they will know what to do.

Get her a little bonnet too.

Cowash(wash with conditioner not shampoo)
Recommend any of the miss jessies conditioners

Finger detangle while hair has conditioner in, and then very lighthanded use of wide tooth comb

You can do an oil rinse like is shown in the second video

And then use something like the shea mouisture curl smoothie or the miss jessies pillow soft curls to define her curls

Put a matching headband to her outfit and be done, dont try to tightly plait her hair or force it into rubberbands/ponytaills

Def stay away from chemicals so her hair can grow. It's a stereotype that "black hair can't grow".

I use Cantu products on my 2 year old daughters hair

I wash her hair 2 times a week with Dr Bronners baby soap

Use a wide tooth comb to detangle with Cantu leave in conditioner

Then oil her scalp with Neem Oil

And braid, but if you baby’s hair is short I can just let it air dry and put pretty head bands on her until it grows

I’d advise to steer clear of putting heat on head so young

I spray Cantu coconut mist to keep it from going dry when needed usually 4-5 times a week

Tell your BM to fix up as well
