Everything he said is true. But it applies to both genders. That's why when I'm in a relationship I cut off all female friends and I expect her to do the same. There is no reason a girlfriend of mines should have a male friend she uses for emotional support no matter how far back that friendship goes. Emotional support is my job and the reverse is expected of me.

The key to this thread is people gotta shut up when it comes to a relationship. Only you and your significant other should discuss personal matters. Never vent to friends about a relationship issues. I've always seen venting to friends giving a person a blueprint on how to emotionally destroy you if the friendship turns sour. Ask for advice from elders because they'll give you advice without personal investment in your personal feelings. Keep in mind that ignorance is bliss the world doesn't need to know you are in relationship even your friends. Real friends should have interest in friendship, any friend who has too much concern about your relationship is to be watched.
