Ladies, what's the logic behind telling a guy your sexual past?

(I realize not every woman does this, but I'm curious of the logic behind it in general....)

You meet a nice, new guy, and over the course of a few convos or a date or two, you tell him how you've had f-buddies, the "fun" you've had, you make lil sexual jokes, etc., THEN when you've finished joyfully giving all this info, you hit the, "but I'm doing things different this time" "I'm only interested in a real relationship" "I'm working on me right now" Then you expect us to just be fine with this.

And y'all don't speak of your past(which often isnt too far removed) with regret/shame, but moreso a vibe of, "i was dumb...I gave it away for free too long, now I'm going to make you(the good guy) work/pay for it"

What's the logic here?

You want the guy to take you seriously as a person rather than just for sex? Ok, understandable.

They're not doing it because you necessarily asked them about it.

IMO, they're seemingly doing it in an attempt to get the guy excited/keep him dangling around long enough so that hopefully he has a little bit of sucker in him and will fall for her "personality", then after that, the sex is the deal sealer and he's hooked.

Any dude with half-a-brain would likely have a hard time trusting a chick like this. Because she's likely got a dude in the background that shes using strictly for sexual needs while you're filling the emotional need.

I think no matter how a woman with a promiscuous past handles telling a man it's difficult.
I think if she hides it, she's being untruthful.
If she tells him, he may not want to be in a relationship with her given the tone and details she gives about her past.

I personally think honesty is the best as long as your not talking about your promiscuity in a bragging way then expect to get treated like a queen with me. That's a no. But she also doesn't need to go into full detail about her past either.


I think a woman's past can be a good indicator of who she is now, I just think the real question is do you know, love and trust her enough to know she ain't gunna fukk around on you.
