Based on the confrontation the Pastor seems to have had a legal right to the money.
This is stupid.
Move in silence and contact the proper authorities so they can do an investigation without alerting the pastor that you're on to him.
All you have done now if the allegations are true is given the pastor time to get his ducks in a row legally to side step whatever criminal complaints you have against him.
