Gaga solidified herself to me at the 09 VMAs. I've fallen off with her music but I'ma revisit it, The Fame and The Fame Monster were part of my college soundtrack.

You also need the venue capacity, location, logistics, etc.
It’s not a coincidence that most of the record-breaking attendance concerts are on Copacabana Beach, including the biggest concert of all-time.
That area can hold millions of people in a nice and well-known, worldwide famous location that additionally doesn’t block the city’s main traffic. The city/country additionally are full of people with a culture who support it. You throw in a mega star who the people love, in the middle of an #1 album and song run and its numbers time.
It’s honestly a perfect storm.

Her song with Bruno Mars has been Global #1 for 18 weeks straight now. Broke the record for Spotify’s consecutive #1 song spot.
We’re talking about someone who recorded a jazz album. Ultra talented and that scales.
What I love about her is she doesn’t complain. She stays genuine. She also stays loyal: those performers on stage have been with her for years. shyt was looking rough for her for awhile but she never crashes out, never lashes out at people, just looks at what she’s doing musically, makes changes while staying true to who she is and makes music.
Great example of not having to sell out and flip to MAGA in the 2020’s to do numbers. In fact, she’s completely opposite. She doesn’t get tired of politics, she in fact leans heavy into it and stays 10 toes down on what she fights for. She’d been bullied but stays swinging rather than bending.
She probably feels on top of the world right now because she did all this without cutting corners and compromising. People respond to that.

Lady Gaga is one of those artists who can turn it on or off on a dime. Talk about total control. She rearranged the entire pop scene in the 2010s.
