People were saying that team was gonna be mid before the season and even when they got off to a 17-3 start people were making excuses like they had a cupcake schedule. Honestly some folks were holding out credit until that weekend right before COVID when they beat the Clippers and Bucks Like @ajnapoleon said it was considered a team full of spare parts lead by an aging Bron coming off a season with the first major injury of his career and a guy notoriously made of glass.

They were basically two superstars carrying the entire offense and a bunch of roleplayers who played tough defense. In fact it's the only team in NBA history lead by two players with a BPM of 8+ (if you wanna slightly fudge the numbers you can Include '16 Thunder since Westbrook was at a 7.8)
