why not? Most 3s are't that quick compared to 2s and Kobe is just as strong as most small forwards.

Honestly it'd prolly be the best idea. Hes not as quick and given his post game it'd be better to have him closer to the rim and let the young boys handle the rock. Which could potentially be a problem but we'll see

It depends on the opponent, but Kobe at the 3 over the course of a season wouldn't be very successful. This is Kobe's final season anyways, so if the Lakers are in rebuild mode anyways, what difference will putting Kobe at SF do for the short term goals of the team?
