Nielsen ratings for the Lakers in the Los Angeles market were down double digits percentage-wise over their first 20 games versus the same period last season.

The Lakers averaged a 2.25 rating for those games on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, down 28% from the 3.14 at the start of last season.

The Lakers' ratings are near the historic low of 2.11 they averaged all of last season, the worst on record for local Lakers telecasts and a 54% drop from the 2012-13 season, when they averaged a 4.63.

The Lakers are in the third year of their 25-year, $5-billion contract with TWC.

They should move the team to Canada or DC to increase viewership. Angelenos don't have time to watch that bullshyt.

No one wants to see that garbage when they can watch the Clippers
I'd like to see what Clipper viewership is. It's probably down too because of their playoff exits. I don't hear the outspoken Clipper fans anymore like I did two years ago.

EDIT: It's in the article it's down too
