Any type of Gaming cpu will do the job. Basically you need a gaming laptop without the high quality graphics card.

Better drop a budget and producers don't use Alienware. It's been MSI laptops.

A Mac could be nice but those things are rape price wise to get just a shytty one. Your best bet if you do go mac is to get one for sale on Ebay and maybe get a deal on a 2015 one with 8gb ram or if your techy buy the ram yourself and replace it.

With you using FL though you're gonna need a PC so for PC's you could ball out and get an alienware which is over a grand even on Ebay, you could get a Razer Blade which is over a grand, you could get an MSI like homie post above me mentioned, you could get a nice HP laptop like the Envy or something or a Dell. Me personally I got me a spectre which has a touch screen and mine came with 16gb's ram, a good processor though it's a U processor and 500gb SSD for 900+ so I got mine for a steal.

As for buying I recommend trusted users on Ebay who have tons of good reviews, you could find good deals there. Especially from this seller where I bought my computer back in october
eritechinc on eBay

Also check this site to compare laptops
Laptop Mag: Find the Perfect Laptop, Tablet or 2-in-1 for You

Another place to look for deals is bestbuy.

Good luck fam!

Thanks for the replies. What laptops are yous using? I mainly do all of my work on a Desktop but I'm going to order a lap-top when I get the chance that uses the same specs. But this new pc is a beast 16 Gigs of Ram with an i7 processor. Has me thinking I can fly. I just got off of windows xp a week ago so to upgrade to this is life changing. I had the pc built.

Got an Acer Aspire E15, yeah Acer is :flabbynsick: but it's like 500 bucks and I can make beats.

I tried a Dell laptop a few months ago and could only make like one beat tape before it crashed on me and I had to return it.

I need a new laptop as well. My ableton screams for dear mercy as soon ad I load to many plugins and compression. But I'm running on a shytty Notebook with literally 1.0ghz of processing power. I'm thinking of getting a gaming laptop.

EDIT : Macs are really good for music I heard but as yall mentioned, the price is crazy, gaming laptops are the way.

PC laptop with a i5 or i7 that comes with at least 8gb ram..do research on the heating levels of the motherboard/cpu as with any daw the computer will be running long periods of time. expand the ram to 16gb ram and you should have zero lag no matter how many effects or plugins you use so your not restricted..for faster laptop loading times swap the hard drive or purchase with a faster hard drive or even better a SSD or run external and run all your daw programs and sample packs from there
, get a good external soundcard and you should be the next metro boomin.
