He should just wait for next season to play. No point in taking a risk after coming back from a serious injury.

ATL…overly
He's apparently walking with a limp and has looked like shyt in practices, by not tanking they wasted a perfect opportunity to improve :smh:

So them not playing like one of the best teams in the league post AS break wasn't a legit & feasible way to improve as well?

It just seems like if it ain't about tanking or getting a big name free agent, it's not a realistic way to get better to y'all SMH

They're playing that way because Rodney Stuckey is inexplicably averaging 20/5/5 on 50% & 49% from 3, basically playing like Dwyane Wade with Kyle Korver's 3 point shot :russ: That is not sustainable, they will lose in the first round and next year they will have the team they had last year, only West will be a year older, PG won't be up to speed for awhile and they'll still have the same shytty backcourt they have now.

They had a perfectly good excuse to tank and get some actual talent to go with their roster, they are capped out and not a FA destination, they're a veteran team so losing in the first round of the playoffs accomplishes what?

But teams that "tank" do so by gutting their roster. How was Indy going to go about tanking? Tell West and Hibbert to sit this season out too even though they have no season ending injuries? You don't tank by telling players to go out and suck, because players have contracts to play for, so you do it by gutting the squad and making the roster as bad as possible.

Don't see how Indy can do that unless they shipped West and Hibbert and others out. But having George with a top 5 pick, a gutted roster, and not being a free agency destination won't do anything.

I would have traded West and moved Hill, that's far from "gutting" the roster, especially when you consider after next season they will have Hill, Miles and George as their only players under contract. So what's going to happen is they're going to overpay for mid-range guys to sign with them just to stay in the playoff hunt and eventually they will have to bottom out anyway.

They will never sign a FA to pair with George that is a high impact player, in 2-3 years people will be criticizing the Pacers for not getting PG a great teammate and I'll look back and say they missed their chance :yeshrug:
