Maybe Melo being a top 3 player in the NBA and leading the league in scoring (or even JR Smith being 6th man of the year) had more to do with the Knicks success than Felton

You can’t convince me Felton even Jeremy Lin were elite point guards for the Knicks

John Wall is elite. He might not be Curry, Westbrook or Lillard but he’s the next best thing.

Meanwhile Knicks fans would love to have Kyrie or even Kemba cause they can shoot (the only thing they do better than Wall).

But Knicks have enough scorers and shooters now and especially when Porzingis returns They need someone who knows how to pass and play fast with their young core

That’s just my take. I like Wall as a PG (not his contract as much) and fit on the Knicks

I said raymond felton was better than john wall? I said the last time we had him we were a playoff team so why use him as a point of reference for struggle
elite ass john wall with an allstar caliber running mate, and a decent supporting cast been underachieving the last several years in the weak east and is currently under 500.

I can picture numerous other ways to spend 45 million dollars of our cap.....than to spend it on a player older than 30 whose game is reliant on athleticism.

Imagine looking at John Wall and saying, "Damn, if we could get a PG like Wall and pair him w/ Bradley Beal, we'd have the best backcourt in the East and we'd really be beasting"

Co-sign ALLLLLLL of this. 38 million BEFORE the 15% trade kicker hits and that's for 2019; he's signed through 2023! Wall is a great player, but at 40+ million for so long and with questions about his effort and him beefing with other stars on his own team...I wouldn't touch that contract with a ten foot pole. We've got the cap space and the youth and the picks and the CULTURE to be patient a bit longer while we continue to load up. At some point we can take that sort of swing that Philly just did, but we're not at that depth yet. We're getting there but we can't skip steps. Patience is the motto.

Edit: Just to throw it in, a win now push like this probably means super maxing KP at 27 with Wall jumping to 44 starting. The projected cap I've seen is 108 and you'd have 71 million of that committed to two players after moving assets for Wall.
