I've accepted that we're basically just going to have to hope we turn into what the Nets are now in 2 years if any of the big FA's stay FA's. But I don't have faith that the next 2 years will be anything but lean and dull as shyt to watch. Mostly because we literally just filled the roster with a 3 N D guy who you hope finally "clicks" and a bunch of PF. I don't think this is a terribly well constructed team even if the goal is player development. Hopefully Payton never plays more than 10 minutes a game and some of these younger players are starters the whole year. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Learn by doing.

It's a play but IDK if it works. Hope it does, I'd like us to at least be in the conversation for relevance again at least once in my damn life.

Dolan is hands off and we just signed 6 free agents. Yeah, they aren’t marquee names but they’re all solid players who could have went somewhere else.

Also, we were the front runners for KD all year things just changed because of many factors.

You have to create a culture that shows players that you're serious about doing it and that you won't treat them like that, and I don't think even with the best FO in the world you can erase the Dolan stink away from it. You have to win to get that stink away, so basically we just have to hope we have our guys develop as best we can and maybe swing a trade for a start looking for a change of scenery off a bad and or financially hamstrung team to make a culture change.

Lot of smoke that the nikka was unhappy with how the org handled him. Could be BS, but I'm just saying if the nikka is KD's best friend then roll out the red carpet for him. It shows a lack of awareness of the NBA as it is now and how to build a culture requires more than just "play in NYC" anymore because nikkas can just go to Brooklyn now. And Dolan has developed an intensely negative reputation with good cause. It's gonna take more than a year of having a FO and Coach that seem to be above it to get results but stuff like that is something you gotta account for now. Guys wanna play with their homies.

If the young guys outside of Frank don't get minutes, that's just bad coaching and a loss of 80% of the fanbase followed by firing and dis ownership by Dolan. That's not gonna happen and it's more than obvious these moves were made to find guys to build around the youth. If the coaches observation of RJ and Knox is true, y'all have nothing to worry about.

Chris Broussard was on Undisputed earlier and said that Deandre Jordan was basically telling KD/Kyrie to come play in NY, and that KD's injury gave Kyrie pause about being the lead dog in MSG and was like nah, if we gonna do this we gonna do it in Brooklyn. So what do you want? Don’t sign nobody and play these young nikkas 30+ minutes just to win 15 games with no real quality vets around them to show them the ropes and produce for the team. Just to capture a lottery pick that likely won’t be the top pick and is gonna need real development.

Do you really think you’re gonna go from bottom of the pack to top of the pack just like that?

What is wrong with striving for an 8th seed and getting the young guys playoff experience or just having them play meaningful competitive basketball thru a regular season at the very least? Making an 8th seed next season doesn’t mean we’re going to stay there. FA’s will want to come after that, the youth core will improve, we will continue to draft smart.
