Chromecast is lovely now that that avia allows you to stream any local media from your phone/tablet to your tv without restrictions....y'all need to download that...makes the chromecast 20x better

Just checked and you gotta pay $2.99 for the chromecast feature with the Avia app

Plex gives the people who pay for plexpass the new features first.im not sure if they are letting the free users use it yet, I haven't checked

No, right now it only works with a few apps and the chrome browser

shyt still doesn't even support WatchESPN

oo ok. i got cable but all i watch is sitcoms and espn and wifey watches spanish soaps and abc shows. if i could find a way to stream all that for free i can just save that $100 i pay for cable every month.

You just download stuff onto Plex? I downloaded a few things onto mine but it's more of a hassle than just loading up Netflix and watching something.

im using somebody's else media content on Plex but yeah thats bascially how it works

Bought one, but it doesn't help me for travel since the hotel's network setup prevents the chromecast from seeing my pc on the hotel's network. I returned it. Especially now that my work laptop has an HDMI out. I really didn't need it.
