Columbus didn't do shyt for Italians. First of all there was no Italy, there were only a lot of states that eventually became Italy in the 1800s about 400 years after Columbus. Second of all, all of the glory went to Spain and not Italy so wtf is there to idolize about him. Italians in Italy don't care about Columbus and Italian americans are idiots if they do.

Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity probably don't believe half of what they say. They aren't different than actors in Hollywood. They probably both laugh at the ease at which they can manipulate viewers with their words. They are given a script their bosses know will increase viewership with a certain group and when it does they get paid.
