Based on this thread title and every other thread like this, I can only imagine what would happen to OP if this site went belly up for good :merchant:

Target seems to hire many people. Obviously it's not ideal, but if unemployment has run out, then you can work at Target until the lawyer thing takes off.

Lawyers being replaced by AI too? :damn:

I haven't heard of a slow down in lawyering string. Wish you the best tho. Stay strong and creative. Pivot from negative reflection
No…. AI can’t litigate, negotiate, mediate, arbitrate, and sign its name on filings.

It also writes shytty memo and briefs.

Do you know how to do e-discovery?

Lots of firms need discovery specialists.

I have a friend who took a paralegal position for 6 months and was just promoted to associate. He went from $65k to $80k plus quarterly bonuses.

Maybe look into paralegal positions with a JD (and I’m assuming you passed the bar) you should be able to land something.

Idk with a law degree I’ve never had trouble finding a job. Stop applying online most jobs are bogus.
We have a female lawyer in our midst. I’m liking this.

Why does @EBK String never actually respond to any of the advice he is given in these types of threads he makes?? If you notice he never posts in any of these threads beyond his op post and never daps or replies or acknowledges any of the posts people give him.

It's why I just hit the :unimpressed: after a while...I don't like to make fun of unemployment struggles but not every rant needs a thread :mjtf: the day his shyt jumped the shark was when he started a thread saying he hurt his toe kicking a desk out of frustration :beli:

What metro area are you in?

What was your undergrad degree in?

I went to law school and realized there was no way I was gonna grind out as much as needed to excel but my school was affordable and I figured it’s better to get the JD to leverage for higher wages in other careers than drop out and throw money away. I moved into Fed Operations and am making well into 6 figs. You can make your own path if you’re flexible and not just focused on BeInG aN AtToRneY. Now if that’s the only skill you have then things are gonna be rough.
