But he is right about plans to break up these tech companies. Let's take Facebook for example. How can you argue it has monopoly power when it's use is optional with no impact on a person's life.

The argument could be made that FB takes up a lot of people's attention through its main app and IG. Which then impacts advertising and other forms of media like journalism.

For the other members of the big 4 a second order effects type of argument would have to be made because the market share or lack of options on the part of the consumer line of argument wouldn't work.

In all likelihood because the Bjork neoclassical Anti-Trust framework is still dominant and the Trump admin doesn't really care, the big 4 ain't got shyt to worry about in the foreseeable future from a legal standpoint.

That doesn't mean I personally think it's ok what they are doing, but the system is overwhelmingly on their side.
