looks interesting.
OP have you done this??? and how do you anticipate a novice could learn from this??

I have. I do know some coding languages, and know my way around coding. Though, recently, I have hired Developers (PHP/C#, etc) and Managed Developers/Coders and deliverable.

Mobile Application Development

Blackberry BB
iOS
Android

Seriously the potential is there especially with mobile application, if you learn to code mobile apps, you make A LOT of money, no guarantees, but the odds are better on mobile...I have seen people make $100K/day from apps, to $500K a years, to $10K to $15K per month...it various all separate business/individuals...also there some who have their app in itunes, but are not marketing it well...it is competitive...though now its the time...

For web related sites/application

PHP
MYSQL
ruby on rails
HTML
CSS
Java

are staples...

Desktop Application
C
C#
C++
Cobol
.NET/across

Java runs on mobile, java, desktop, etc

All learn OWASP and security coding practising...which is another big market

just start with a few classes...

Bucky (the guy for the other link to the new boston website) is uploading java game development youtube vids, so that should be good. I forgot to post phpacademy | Free Video Tutorials | PHP, MySQL, CSS, jQuery Tutorials which is great to help your php game out. These guys are great for what they do. Y'all got other lanks, tutorials, lynda.com-vids :scheme: or any pdf/books post them in this thread, get the programming game popping in here to full effect.

http://www.db-class.org/course/auth/welcome (for database knowledge) I think the old vids of the class is online here but you can enroll for future courses later on when offered -Cousera.
