1) Southside is criminally underrated and makes some of the most leaned out, kickstand, shyt I've ever heard. shyt's hypnotic and aggressive :ahh:

2) Slim Dunkin was also criminally underrated. His flow on "Call Me Inky" and "Tyler Perry" :blessed:

3) Brick Squad knows how to pick producers. Waka with Lex and Southside and Gucci with Mike Will. :noah:

I was doing drugs semi regularly when this stuff began to bubble. IMO it made me frantic and irritable.

I'm a groove guy.

I see. I think Southside makes some groove oriented tracks if you just focus on the synth and just let the hi-hats be background music

1. south is cool. personally i like him better when he works with wooh, same with waka and lex and zay and gucci. south side killed that blackout mixtape :wow:

2. slim should have been had next. that menace 2 society mixtape he dropped, that when i knew he could hold his own and go solo rather than doing songs wit waka. i don't know what the fukl miss debbie was doing wit that nikkka dunk, but the labels was trying to get at him.

Serious question. You guys don't think all this shyt tends to sound really similar?

I hear a lot of people saying that, but I disagree. It's like saying that all Funk sounds the same. You have to listen closely to hear the different nuances and sounds. Trap should probably be its own genre. The starting point is the hi-hats; you build upon them. Everything else is different. You kind of have to train your ear I guess
