How would you know?

I'm sure it's bad, but is it worse than not making the playoffs year after year or always losing in the first round.

Im sure it's mentally and physically draining to get all the way to Finals and lose. But the players who do that always seem to be more driven the next season than players who don't go to the playoffs

I say this to people here all the time. And especially for Football. If you have no chance at winning it all, why even make the playoffs?
NFL, we all know 4 or so teams got a shot, the others are the dallas/atlanta/san diego/never gonna duh it types

NBA we got the Chicago's/Atlanta/portland/clipper types who ain't neva gonna win it all. I'd rather get a lottery pick than to suffer playoff loses
