North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
of other players. They expect everyone to contribute like Lebron. They expect every superstar regardless of what position they play to be able to play 4 positions and be their respective teams best shooter, passer and defender. That's just dumb. TEAMS win championships regardless of how good their best player is. Instead of analyzing the make up of the team, they want to look solely at the teams best player.

shyt started with Jordan and the Bulls championships. It was all about having a Batman and Robin no matter how small their supporting cast was that team should be able to win a title. Now they expect every player to play like Lebron. Carmelo Anthony for example does not have the athleticism, speed or strength to run or jump like Lebron yet he's expected to defend and run an offense like him. Durant can only do so much when 2 of his starters (Perkins, Sefolosia) are offensive liabilities and a third (Ibaka) is just as bad. It's no secret that 3 of the final 4 teams don't have a quote unquote "super star" player. For as good as Lebron is it still took him teaming up with Wade and Bosh to win his title.

I don't think anybody compares players to LeBron...

You always hear people raving about just how gifted and unique LBJ is with is size, speed, strength, and skillset. The LeBron-Durant-Kobe debate is only talked about to incite interest and discussion regarding the NBA.

Nobody expects dudes to go out there and average 28-7-7 just cause LeBron does it. They just expect Carmelo and KD to live up to the hype and deliver in the postseason.

There's a reason why you never heard of "that 4th quarter crap," before LeBron. Because no MVP-Face-of-the-NBA had ever fallen flat on their face the way LeBron did in the 2011 Finals. It has nothing to do with us being "spoiled" or having "clouded judgement," and everything to do with him providing one of the most amazing disappearing acts in sports history. When you call yourself the King and have "Chosen One" tattoo'd on your back and you come up that short, of course you're going to get shyt on...

KD is getting heat for not being agressive and demanding the ball in the absence of Westbrook. And Melo is catching flak because people finally realize he's just a volume shooter. I fail to see how any of this has to do with LeBron.

If you're argument is that KD and Melo are always compared to LeBron, well guess what? Vince and TMac were always compared to Kobe. Garnett and Dirk were always compared to Duncan. Nash and Kidd were always compared to each other. NBA is a star-driven league, so you're always going to have comparisons of star players at the same position. People have been getting shyt for their failures far before LeBron arrived on the scene, and they'll continue to get flak long after he retires.

No people just expect super stars to be able to do more than scoring.

Nobody saying Melo should have Bron's athleticism. What people are saying is Melo tend to have Tunnel vision. its him and the basket and nothing else. And for all the talk about Melo being the best scorer in the NBA: his shot % is extremely low for a player with his height and strength.

For anybody who was watching Durant w/o Westbrook, you do see that he's trying to become a more complete player. (he's started doing that since the beginning of the season).

Melo has been the same player since he came in the league :manny:

And speaking of Batman and Robin, Melo needs Batman :youngsabo:
