He's this generations MJ. It'll last until his replacement, whoever that is.
Nah. As great as Lebron is they'll be comparing the next great to MJ. He's still the standard. Unless it's someone with crazy longevity then the Lebron comparisons will be there.

His newest shoe campaign feel so forced on IG. They are trying to make his new shoe bigger than what it really is and I don’t think the majority of people really give a fukk…:lolbron:

I feel like Nike has to put this big push behind him since he has the lifetime deal but it just doesn’t move or feel the same as MJ. We could identify key moments on all of Jordan signature shoes 1-15 off the top

Jordan is the MAIN

But other athletes have signature moments tied to their shoes. Iverson, Kobe, Grant Hill, Ant man
You acting like the players the ones making the shoes. Lebron my favorite player I'll never wear his shoes. Its only one style of kobe's had 1 pair of Iverson's and fukked with the grant hills in the 90. Ant man??? I'm don't know how they look but I already know I'll never wear them. What was you getting at with post tho.

The point is you’re saying Jordan is the only shoe that matters and I’m saying it’s not… :yeshrug:

And if you don’t know about Anthony Edwards debut shoe, you have been under a rock. He’s had probably the best debut since Jordan in 85 with the AE 1

Just because YOU won’t wear them doesn’t mean the masses aren’t. Clearly people fukk with em heavy and James Hardens shoe too.

Im a nike lifer when it comes to kicks but you can tell when other brands have a momentum uptick

As a prestigious brand, Nike having both the Swoosh and the Jumpman is an unbeatable combo. Jordan has been able to leverage his brand into many sports outside of basketball. In terms of basketball, I would actually say most kids nowadays don't care to hoop in Jordans. Kobes, Ja Morants, GT Cuts, Anthony Edwards and Sabrina's dominate the scene. Brand apparel? Yeah, hell, my son wore a Jordan shirt the first day of school this year. That said, my son is 11, has never seen MJ play but even in hearing him talk about Michael, there's a majestic nature to his game. The aesthetics are going to matter. When he shuts his door and plays on the rim hanging on his door, who are he emulating? LeBron? Barreling down the lane? Or Jordan, hanging in the air, doing a crazy reverse layup or something else. Don't get me wrong, he likes LeBron but he's a lover of Jordan's game. Of course, given he is a basketball fanatic, he knows all the talking points for the Jordan/LeBron argument and he sides with Jordan and he thinks Kobe is better than LeBron. Why? He's never really given me a clear answer that satisfies me on it but I think it is along the lines of why people can see themselves in Steph. LeBron is a one of one and was given the GOAT athletic body. Nobody can't emulate what LeBron has done. That said, Giannis is his favorite player all time though so go figure.

For shyts and giggles, this is some of the stuff in his room currently.

There are more Jordan things in his room but for a kid that's 11 and a man that hasn't played professional basketball in over 20 years, this is amazing staying power. In this case, Jordan is a one of one.

My youngest son turned 11 in Nov and he think lebrons the goat. I told him Jordan he be like naw lebron. Maybe cause he seen him play in person about 5 times and be watching him on TV live. He also had about 40 pair of Jordan's in his lifetime lol. These kids don't know what they really be talking about they just going off things they hear mostly. Your son was what 7 when Kobe passed? You want to know why he can't tell you, cause it was just something he hear. Maybe from you

Jordan, perhaps, Kobe? Not from me. I don't talk about Kobe like that. He's heard me stan Derrick Rose more than I've talked about Kobe. 2K actually made this a conversation last year. During Jordan's decade of dominance, the only time other teams won is when he was gone. In 2K25, they had the Curry era, and it made him think about LeBron's dominance. Basically, Curry got 4 rings on your watch, so to speak. Would you consider your son to be a historian of sorts of basketball? Mine will use youtube to watch players from yesteryear, to get a feel of their game as he's always looking to add to his game in real life.

It's going to be vicious once either Wemby, Shai, or Jokic piles up 3+ rings.

Or if Curry gets another one (I know that's not happening)

Anyone who wins 3+ rings with the team they started will make things spooky. Especially in a parity era with aprons.
