this stat makes more sense when you count up the # of games it took to reach the milestone and not the age.
if lebron came into the league at 18, and MJ came in at age 21, but it took MJ 200 less games to hit 25K points, it certainly puts it in perspective.
Is that how many years ago he was relevant when it comes to winning
Wilt did it even faster than MJ.

Yup. About the same time when serious basketball heads knew lbron would never be goat. So instead, guys like you have to get hype about "youngest to ....".Is that how many years ago he was relevant when it comes to winning
Dude, you can't bring up what you did and then in the next breath say that that number of shots doesn't matter. It's almost everything in this context and the item that you raised. Who knows what would have become of MJ of he came into the league at the same age as Lebron? Would he have been effective? He could have warned the bench etc. These things do matter. Take Damien Lillard for example...Or Kobe's stats and gametime trajectory.I'm not sure. but his career FG% was .497, and up til his 95/96 season (when he hit 25K) , it was even higher being over 50%, so him taking a lot of shots is irrelevant when he was converting at a really high rate.
That's actually kinda crazy considering he missed a majority of the 85-86 season.
