partnah of mine is an owner/operator of his truck. Brought in almost 100k one year, but with all the tax writeoffs and shyt he does, he was able to reduce his taxable income to 28K.

Most of lebron's money is salary and endorsements, which is taxed as income. Ballmer is mostly stock rich which is lower taxed capital gains

Many people, not just the rich, have LLCs and businesses where they write off and/or make moves that avoid paying taxes. That's why you have tax accountants.
