LeBron James scored 49 points in a Miami Heat Game 4 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

James' scoring was representative of his tendencies as a whole. Of James' 49 points, 36 came either at the line or inside the restricted area.

James made 11 of his 12 attempts there last night, while he was 5-for-12 in his jump shots.

That's crazy that a team could watch a Perimeter player destroy them in the paint like that and not be able to do anything about it:wow:

I think to refer to Lebron as simply a perimeter player has now become a rather inadequate description. IMO he is on the verge(if he isn't already) of becoming a top 10 PF as well as the best current SF.

He only plays PF in the small-ball lineup the Heat run. He can not guard legitimate PFs or C's defensively imo, so I hesitate in calling him a PF (or a Big Man)

He's a natural Perimter player who just so happens to be able to play every position on the court:manny:

He guards Blake well, it depends on the PF to be honest, obviously he'll struggle with the dudes approaching 7'0" or better but there are a gang of natural PFs he's done a great job defending.

Everybody wanted him to get a post game and better off the ball movement, should have been careful what they wished for :whoa:

His off the ball movement today vs where it was 4 years ago is like night and day, and that post game is just vicious.

He's at the top of his prime right now, imo, and the only place for him to go is down from here:manny:

What else can he get better at? He's already complete. Im happy my Lakers arent in the East:whew:

I understand your sentiment but if you think about the PFs he would struggle to guard you would probably come up with less than 10 and those are PFs that everyone struggles to guard anyway. Hence my consideration of him as a top 10 PF. He might be #10 but top ten nevertheless. I just love to see the evolution.

His growth in the post is just amazing - it always made sense he would become a beast down there with his passing ability

Hes just unguardable at this point
Imagine if he worked on it during his Cleveland tenure to go along with his athletic peak.

Its crazy because I thought I was watching Karl Malone at times during the game.
