In this case, it was the best 3-day we’ve seen for a family film during the pandemic, with $31.65M. That’s also the best for Warner Bros. during the Covid-19 era, beating Godzilla vs. Kong‘s big Easter opening of $31.625M by a smidge, and also a record career opening for director Malcolm D. I'm happy for it but the movie was just trash. I don't know if it's nostalgia but I could watch the OG to this day. Classic theme song, memorable characters, this one just didn't seem to have the same soul.

Watched it the other night. It was product placement, video games, childhood and basketball all wrapped up in one. Wouldn’t watch again, but it was a decent watch. Lebron in human form didn’t act as well as I have seen him in the past, but the cartoon portion was legit.
