Quincy Jones, the multi-platinum and multi-award-winning legendary producer, has been rushed to the hospital in what his representatives are calling a “medical emergency.”

Radar Online was one of the first outlets to break the story, and it confirmed that the 90-year-old multi-hyphenate was rushed to the emergency room on Saturday (June 18).

Despite early speculation, however, Jones’ representatives made clear that he was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital because he’d had a bad reaction to some food he’d eaten the night before.

Getting rushed to the hospital, they said, was a precautionary measure due to the producer’s advanced age.

What’s more, the producer remained in “good spirits” throughout the precautionary measure, and he was released from the hospital once doctors gave him the all-clear.

Jones’s vital signs are stable and there’s no concern about the after-effects on his overall health.

Quincy Jones has won nearly 30 Grammys throughout his seven-decades-long recording career and worked a wide sundry of artists from Frank Sinatra to Michael.

Quincy Jones has won nearly 30 Grammys throughout his seven-decades-long recording career and worked a wide sundry of artists from Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson.

He’s had 80 Grammy nominations throughout his career, and this record was only recently broken by JAY-Z in 2021, who at that point had received a total of 83 nominations.

Despite securing his place in musical history, Timbaland recently seemed to take a shot at Quincy Jones — and promptly got dragged for filth for his trouble.

Timbaland got on the wrong side of folks back in January 2022 when he compared The Weeknd’s new album Dawn FM to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

After the treatment he received over his comments, one would think Timbo would have then kept his thoughts to himself — but he managed to get people mad again just days later.

After his Weeknd-MJ comparison, the Virginia native put out another Instagram post, but this time focusing on the King of Pop’s legendary producer Quincy Jones.

The post — which was intended for motivational purposes — claimed Quincy didn’t get his big break until he was 50 years old thanks to his work on MJ’s classic 1982 album Thriller. However, the sentiment quickly backfired.

The problem with Timbaland’s post was that Quincy Jones had already achieved success before Thriller.

The iconic producer, composer and arranger won 11 Grammy Awards between 1964 and 1982 thanks to both his solo work and collaborations with jazz greats George Benson, Count Basie, as well as singer Lena Horne.

Social media were quick to correct the producer. “Timbaland made it seem like Quincy was living off molasses & bread for 30 years before meeting Michael. Get this man OUTTA here bruh,” one Twitter user joked, while another reminded Tim about Quincy’s work with Frank Sinatra in the ’60s.

Timbaland addressed the backlash the following day by posting a clip of his “Blueprint” interview with Complex, in which he recalled a quote from Quincy Jones himself. The Verzuz co-founder was trying to point out that Quincy put himself in a different category after the release of Thriller.

Quincy Jones is rushed to the hospital and these crabs can't even write a proper article without being messy. What does a comment from last year relate to Quincy Jones being hospitalized?

I doubt that comment ruined his day or even got his attention. Quincy has seen and done what anyone serious about production could even dream of. His entire story including how he got into music is inspirational. He's overcome obstacles that would have left a lot of people destitute and depressed.
