marriage is a business contract to permit the security of the transmission of property and assets between generations.
That has NOTHING to do with religion.
here in America there are numerous legal and social benefits to getting married.
people dont have to be married in a church or involve God or religon at all.
people get married because they want to get married.

To lock down 1 person guaranteed for rest of life. So when you old and feeble you can be taken care of. Also to spread your seed with the best mate you can achieve. If said mate isn't yours and mating elsewhere that shyt would be lame.

It's a legal practice not religious one. Why do people make these stupid threads where it seems they don't think about the topic beyond the immediate thought that pops in their head. I'm sure if thought about it a bit you could answered your own question.
Its not a lack of trust...its imbedded in the "death do us part" line.
