If dem beans ain't creamy they didn't cook long enough

Cook the sausage first then pat or drain the grease out . The beans need to soak (uncooked) long enough for the hull to come off some of them. Place the beans ,cooked sausage and holy trinity ( onions, bell peppers, and celery) in a cock pot and cover with water and some seasoning ( I use Tony's ). Put the crock pot in low setting and cook for 6 to 8 hours. At that time take a spoon and mash some of the beans against the side of the pot to make them creamy. Enjoy!!

This method has never failed me
