A month into Florida’s six-week abortion ban, Republican Rep. Kat Cammack went to the ER with a deadly ectopic pregnancy and struggled to get prompt care. She blames the left.

She blames “the left” for a law she helped pass?

Sadly, she was able to find the care she denies to other women.

“It didn’t ban procedures for ectopic pregnancies, but concern about the law’s wording made doctors hesitant”
So this is on the doctors, not the law.

@dubiousfacts
she should carry to term. That's what God would want.

@ThomB01
I'm wondering how she ever got pregnant in the first place.
Toilet seat?
Door knob?

Didn’t read the whole article… I’m guessing the journalist didn’t do much pushback and showed up with very little fact checking counter arguments

Audacity and hypocrisy. That's MAGA.

The contradiction is clear: a law she helped usher in almost killed her, yet she’s blaming those who opposed it. That’s political survival over personal accountability.

I lived and worked in the Middle East as a foreign professional. At one point, my then husband and I thought I was pregnant and called a clinic to make an appointment with an OBGYN. The first thing they said to me was, “If you’re pregnant, we don’t do abortions in this country.” I wasn’t. Just a late period, likely the stress.
My point is, I don’t really get why some Americans think Trump’s U.S. is that much different from or to other nations.
If people really paid attention to detail (or educated themselves) they’d realize everyone in the political spectrum defends something the countries they consider enemies believe in. But somehow, it takes a war to arrive to diplomacy on this planet.
Different churches.
Different currencies.
Different cultures.
Different languages.
Same goal: You can be pro-life without being pro-ignorance.

Death is nothing. Let us die. That is the Repuboican way of truth. It is the truth. There is nothing wrong in dying.

@micyoung75
Let’s pause on the human truth here: Rep. Cammack, a leading voice for Florida’s abortion ban, was nearly lost to a pregnancy her law left doctors too uncertain to treat quickly. Blaming “the left” misses the point—our laws should protect life, not endanger it.

Ectopics are a medical emergency. Lack of prompt care is on the hospital and nobody else.

Well, this one doesn't cut the mustard.
She's nearly in Gainesville (Alachua county) with some of the best UF doctors in the state....nice try, though.

Republicans are killing women in miscarriage but Biden killed due process when he declared himself powerless to save women’s lives.
Plus Dems are pushing women and girls out of participating in society. That’s for men and boys in dresses.
No party represents women in the U.S.

@AustinRouthier
Why did they give her treatment? She shouldn’t have been given care and she should be arrested for receiving it!!
