the maryland part of dmv is just prince george's (PG) and montgomery counties. just like virginia is really only Northern Virginia - farifax, alexandria and arlington counties. maybe some more, i'm not too familiar with nova, but richmond for example isn't considered "DMV"
this idea of a dc area has been around much longer than the term "DMV", and bmore has never been part of it
i love bmore, and i'm loyal to DC. it's an interesting city, i always enjoy it for whatever reason i'm in it
but it's not the GOAT
if it weren't within an hour of my hometown, i would consider it in the same realm as i do kansas city or omaha now
