I would have to say that Eminem has made the best out of a bad situation, (being a white artist producing Black art). It was pretty much a given that he had the marketability to become huge and sell alot of records. He paved the way for Macklemore. His songs appeal to whites who have that unnecessary anger in them, and like listening to rap. I am sure that you can almost chart the decline of sales of most Black rappers once Eminem came on the scene. White people naturally gravitated to him because of shared experiences. And that is what good hip hop is about anyway. Someone telling your story and you can relate to it. Like other people have been saying, his material is just kinda corny. Which is adequate for 90% of his audience.

lol.

TIME FOR ROUND 2.

im laughing at how you got people in here talking about eminem is better than big daddy kane when eminem's catalog is looking more like trick daddy.

:laff::laff:

those albums are nothing memorable. they were just solid 3.5s or 4s that got lost in the shuffle amongst the tons of other 3.5s or 4s that were out at the same time.

just be real with the game. those eminem albums stuck out to you because of the hype and the fact that hes your man because hes white.

and those albums really arent much better than nastradamus. you could argue that some of them arent better than nastradamus at all. nastradamus definitely had more replay value. so comparing nastradamus to encore, relapse & recovery is ridiculous as its by far better than those 3.

we need to see you in the nas/nasty thread more

Not even close.
The novelty of being a white boy who can actually rap wore off years ago.

He's lucky to be top 20.

And to be quite honest, judging by his rap style...he definitely is not seeing Big pun or G Rap

im trying to figure out how Eminem is even top 20.

are yall just trying to be cordial when you say this? or are you just working with a short-list of rappers?

it just doesn't make sense for people to talk about all of his short-comings, and then say "hes top 20 tho".

shouldn't he be way lower?
