I was having an conversation with a co-worker at work today and it gave me a new perspective on the unemployed :yeshrug:.

If employers were to stop having unnecessary "odds and ends" requirements just to be hired, I believe unemployment wouldn't as big an issue.

Employers to certain extents are the main reason why so many people are jobless; it's not because they don't want a job...they just can't get one because it's out of their control.

Constantly getting rejected from being hired (let alone an interview) can create a sense of COMPLACENCY to the point of no return for some. I don't try to shame the unemployed because at the end of day it's not in their hands whether they get hired or not; it's the employers.

They can try all they want and do whatever it takes to get hired & still be assed out in the end; all because of whoever was in charge of the hiring process just not wanting to hire. So if businesses really cared about the unemployed population they'd do things on their part to improve the situation.

You got people out here who take their job(s) for granted & people who make you wonder how the hell they get a job with the work ethic being displayed.

Employers gotta get their shyt together...if they really care.

And before someone comes in here with that with blah blah about starting ya own business and being ya own boss let me rain on that parade and say a lot of people aren't built to be bosses and run their own business. The reality is that a good portion of people are only built to push a broom and flip burgers.

Most employers already know what they are looking for before the interview. They know the look they want you to have and the personality they want.

The interview itself is just a formality.

Never put all your eggs in one basket in reference to a job. Always keep you a side hustle and additional streams of income.

Never put yourself in a position where you solely have to depend on an employer to survive.

Nowadays people struggling just to get those jobs because of unnecessary requirements. I remember growing up you'd always hear about how jobs like BK, McDonald's, cashier etc would be an easy way to get a quick job. That's not the case anymore for people.

Nah, if you're unemployed, that's your fault. Nobody goes into business because they want to give other people jobs.

this, it's absolute bs.
I remember one interview was asking what do I look for in a manager. and I was just sitting there in my head like :unimpressed:
what kind of question is that?

Na
It's pretty easy to get a job?

Now getting a good one is harder

They need to pay everyone a living wage

Ppl think making $15 is too much
