I loved it...it helped that I went in absolutely blind (no trailers...nothing) to the point that I had no idea it was an alien tie-in until I started paying more attention to david and of course the ending made it 1000% clear...enjoyed the movie...sorry for no breakdown...this is just my surface-level opinion
