(The following is purely about music and it's positive abilities. I'm removing all political or personal views as the artist and theme of music deals with the Egyptian Revolution in which then-president Ḥosnī Mubārak stepped down.)
I binged on "Narcos" Season 1. show was dope as hell so I started looking through the Netflix Originals and came across a documentary titled "The Square"
Al midan (2013) - IMDb
The documentary is based upon the lives of those involved in protesting during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution which saw President Mubārak step down from office. one of the individuals highlighted is a artist by the name of Ramy Essam.
He has a song which the documentary "The Square" dubbed the unofficial song of the revolution. the name of the song is called "irhal" which translates into "Leave". this is the song performed in it's native tongue by Ramy with subtitles.
this is another video of Ramy performing within Tahrir Square

What's you all's opinions and ideas upon music fueling positive change in people, institutions and government? do you think American music fuels positive change? and if not, how can it?
