I agree with the thread but out of curiosity, how could they fix that when it's driven by user behavior? If someone has Steph Curry, gets open, and hits a perfect release then they should make the 3 pointer right?

I just hate when they fix this by making user release irrelevant and going with actual 3 pt percentages.

They need to bring back difficulty specific lobbies where you not rewarded by simply dribbling around the perimeter until you are open. We've been asking about this since 11 but they refuse to bring it back

I dont agree that 2k has been horrible, they have gotten better and better since the inclusion of Jordan. However, it went from paint abuse to 3pt abuse for absolutely no reason.

I know why though, they keep the 3pt% high as hell for nikkas that cant play the game or does not want to learn it. Other than the 3's, there is absolutely no way to get cheap baskets so I can give props where due cause the defense is amazing in 14, but why cant they just admit that they keep the 3's high for the casual nikkas.

It makes no sense to me to push the game as a 100% sim (in which the game is a great simulation of the sport and easily the most balanced of any basketball game) but never mention the ridiculous 3pt%. This is where lobbies would erase this issue and its dumb as fukk to not give players an option for it. Im a beast online, it pisses me off when I can lose to a garbage nikka because he shoots 40+% from 3 and barley shoots any other shots. Its crazy how nikkas who cant even do a dribble move can beast online cause they only shoot 3's.

Its not like 2k has not seen players complaining about it, so to me, they just dont give a fukk about pleasing everyone. Wake up call dumbass, there are people who has been buying this game since the original on Dreamcast, im willing to bet that all the nikkas who have bought every year plays basketball the right way. Why the fukk would you prioritize pleasing the nikkas who dont even fukk with basketball????

I agree with everything you posted. But they also need to eliminate the cheesy PG layup animations. They are almost impossible to stop once in the paint. This has only popped up on the current gen title too. And I'm not talking about momentum motions when attacking the basket. I mean you can slow the PG down or make him pick up his dribble altogether. But the PG will automatically go into a layup animation like he was running a fast break. And please fix the fukking passing. Its broken as fukk. Worse then 12. And stop dumbing down your teammate AI on defense just so the CUP can compete. Its cheap and frustrating that 2K programs shyt like that in their game

If they're contested 3's then I'm with you. If not, then I can't cosign it. But I know how frustrating defense is in 2K so I get your overall point.

i don't mind plays where you get a shooter open and he hits a 3. what i hate is the guy putting 3 point shooters at each position and chucking 3's with who ever that is open. Whenever someone picks the Clippers, i immediately quit cause i know what's going to happen. What's worse, you can't even take advantage of the mismatch cause big men are useless in the paint.

They need to focus on defense and the way the players move. It's damn near impossible to stay in front of people. The lock on defense they had in 2k8 was a good idea.

Nah bruh, I dont know if you mean specifically defensively but even then 2k14 is miles ahead of any basketball game. Offensively out of the box with no changes 2k14 CPU plays beautifully and easily the most realistic of all. However, it completely kills the fun by 2k once again forgetting that NBA players shoot jumpers off the dribble. No matter what you change, the CPU will never pull up off the dribble. Its fukked up cause last year was the 1st time they got it right, Melo would facve up and shoot that bytch, D Will would size you up and pull up, MJ would take a power dribble and shoot a drifter over the defense. The only had it right 1 other time and that was 2k11, every other year they either forced a back door pass or did some other bullshyt.

If 2k14 had this right, playing the CPU would be amazing with the way that they actually use the offensive moves, I fukking wish they would stop fukking this up. It really makes it pointless to play against mid 90's MJ, Kobe, Melo, Durant, ect. How the fukk can they have all these sliders and tendancies and still fukk this up every year. On top of that, the "Mid Range" slider is the only one that does not work at all. You can turn everything to 0 and mid range to 100 and they will force dribble into the paint smh.
