Sterling was the 1st, 2nd and 3rd option when Brett first came in. They hate him in Green Bay because he refused to speak to the local media at all after like his 2nd year. Him and TD are in the same class of guys who were clearly HOFers when they played but just didn't have the longevity.

I fukks wit Sterling.

:pacspit: his ol mushmouth ass brother tho

Would have been the second best behind Jerry Rice had he not got injured. As a Cowboys fan i could never root for him, but as i got older i realized how great Sharpe was and how much greater he would have been. These young boys forget about him but Sterling was on the level of any Hall of Fame type receiver that you can name.

There are players in the Hall who played the same amount or less yrs than both of them. They both deserve to be in IMO.

Sterling Sharpe was one of my favorite players when I was a kid. It is a god damn shame his career was cut short..

Dude is awesome on NFL playbook tho. I am never up in time to see that new 7:00am sunday NFL show, but I bet he kills that too..

My second favorite receiver ever and I wasn't even old enough to watch him play like that back then. I just watched so many of his highlights, etc., over the years.

Not takin anything away from Brett but remember how they used Sterling back then. This dude was catchin 100 plus passes back when it wasn't common at all. Having a guy like Sterling was huge for Brett gaining confidence early in his career. He obviously took it to another level after Sterling was gone but having him at the very beginning is an underrated aspect of Brett's career.
