Im ready to pull the trigger on a new tablet but I need some advice. I've been rocking with IPads for Gen 1/2 and Air and I also had a Nexus 7...I'm looking for a tablet that could replace my laptop for minimum productivity while traveling but also has a lot of apps and is very portable. I am a fan of all 3 mobile systems but my phone is Android and current laptop is a windows 8.1 (horrible)

The only tablet that can possibly replace a windows laptop is the Surface Pro 3. Microsoft is the first to really do the hybrid well.

Tablets suck for the most part man, I just don't see the value in a tablet when people are walking around with 6 inch screen phones now.

I'm sayin'.

I never understood the hype about tablets.

My dad was tryin to talk me into one a few years ago. Didn't understand why I prefer laptops, yet every time he tries to pull up youtube or some simple shyt on his tablet, we always have to end up going to his desktop to view it because the wifi signal isn't sufficient, or the volume isn't working or some basic shyt.

Why do you think so small ?

I'll give you an example of why people like tablets .

Before i got my mac book i had a pc for major shyt and my phone for everyday use.

When I'm home chilling and needed a bigger screen without having to sit down at my computer guess what :gladbron:

Now that i have a laptop i really have to use for it shyt is an alarm clock for now but i think I'm bout to load some more movies/ tv shows on it and take it in the sauna at the gym.

You already take your phone to the gym.

What exactly do you need a bigger screen for? It's been proven that people prefer the 8 inch tablets...Not that much bigger than a phone these days.

The tablet market is just going to keep going down this cheap path. HP just released windows 8 tablets for $100 and it's a hot seller.

Get a high end phone and a tablet/laptop hybrid that runs windows and call it a day.

When your sitting on the couch lounging you don't want a computer that's the perfect time for a tablet or when your sitting on an airplane or in the airport and you just want to browse to past time and look at a larger screen than your phone (and not run down its battery)...Those are perfect times to use a tablet.

Say this people call you broke :rudy:

I've never been in a situation where a tablet would be more useful than a laptop or my phone.
You never will be

A tablet is a giant media consumption device. Your phone and laptop will always be more useful
