the desire to communicate is probably there
but a lot of people play the conversation out in their heads beforehand and know the other person is too stuck in their ways to change. or lacks the self awareness to see they need any changing. so they decide it’s not worth getting into the conversation at all and just move on
had they had the actual conversation, it might have gone different but usually by that time people have their minds made up. and the older you get, the more you realize people are who they are and ain’t about to change anyhow so talking about it won’t do shyt. people either fit together or they don’t, it’s not something that can be forced
