I agree 100%. The diamond industry is one of the most fukked up on earth. In DC they run these diamonds commercials on the radio with some White South African talking about "my family has been selling african diamonds for 5 generations" I get angry every time I hear that devils voice...

If I ever buy a diamond it will be a "synthetic" diamond. Exactly the same as a mined diamond but its made in a lab...

I agree that its bullshyt to a large degree. Diamond rings as engagement rings are a 20th century invention. Still bought my wife a diamond ring though, cause she wanted one. Didn't get anything crazy either.

IMO... if you dont want to get a diamond... don't get a fake one w/o telling your spouse. @ starting off your marriage with a lie. Keep it 100... a lot of chicks would prob go for the moisenite ring. $500, $1000... you could get a fukking Ring pop sized rock.

Hey whoa, synthetic diamond means you are ultra-cheap. That's like serving up Frosted Flakes and slices of lettuce at a Super Bowl party. You can always get non-diamond precious gems that don't support South Africans, e.g. ruby, emerald, sapphire, etc.
