I mean if anybody here is a Playstation guy its me. all the niche titles I like to play are poorly represented on Xbox consoles. I have 3x as many PS3 games as Xbox 360 games. That being said I'm not gonna sit up and play dumb like I don't get why people buy Xbox consoles or any other console. what we've got here is a bunch of biased people trying to pretend like there's no objective reason for buying an Xbox One. at $500 I can see that argument. at the same price as the PS4 to me it's a wash. are the specs a lil weaker? yeah will you notice? not really because the Xbox One's games look good enough.

console gaming is not and has never really been about bang for your buck on the power of a console. in most console generations the technologically inferior system typically won out in the sales battle anyway.

since the third party exclusive is mostly extinct what it comes down to is console exclusives. the arguments become totally subjective.

I didn't bother to read the thread on this forum about Kinect being un-bundled earlier this week. Did the xbots on this forum (who been cysing the fukk outta Kinect since the Xbox1 reveal a year ago) cop pleas or try to spin this as a positive?

The reason for this is because the less powerful console has always been cheaper or beat their competitors to market. MS doesn't have this luxury this time. Making the console less powerful and more expensive was just a stupid thing to do.

By right it should be cheaper but the ram solution they use and I'm assuming the os is why it's hard to price it lower. So basically yeah it's weaker but it's not built exactly like a ps4. Truthfully, them being the same price don't even bother me, hell I bought both knowing I didn't care about kinect but I like ms games plus I like sony games so choosing sides is not an option for me. The spec shyt is irrelevant to me also because people truly do overexaggerate the visual difference between the 2. I admit, It's funny tho to watch people on both sides hunt for stories to make both look bad and be the first ones to post them here so their buddies can circle jerk and giggle like kids.

The twin analog Gamepad Controller, and the keyboard and mouse really are the best Game interfaces. Games have been around for almost 30+ years now. At this point, I think people are just trying re-invent the wheel.

Motion controls are cool, but they are never effective or efficient. It's end up just being a novelty.

The Wii outsold the Xbox 360 coming to market after it. The reason regardless of slight tech inferiority these systems managed to capture people's attention with games (or in the Wii's case a single game).

The majority of the people who will buy a new console are still playing Xbox 360s and PS3s right now. This whole thing is very far from decided. It could still go either way. let's not act like Microsoft couldn't erase a 3 or so million console lead. really that's not even much of a lead anyway.
