Shaq been a shell of himself for a good 9 years. Im talking young shaq.

The only thing that ever was capable of stopping prime Shaq was father time. The league didn't change and make him less effective - age and conditioning did.

Thats the difference. These newer cats ain't busting a grape. Never had a fight in school . Probably went to school and went home and played xbox. They're like the Terminator, got bodies built for war but no soul, no heart. They thrive until the run into someone who bleeds red. Yall see Lebron, etc thrive now. Lebron never felt threatened against OKC. I bet, the Lakers would give LEbron more trouble than OKC for the simple fact Kobe wouldn't care about Lebron or his feelings. Larry Bird didn't even acknowledge Magic Johnson when they played. Wadn't no I wanna be friends shyt.

Everything you just said is indicative of society. It's deeper than basketball.

And for the record, the streets ain't really synonymous with the streets like that. Take a look around.

In the 80s and 90s, the players were not as strong, quick, etc. They had many jumpers who could jumper equal to present day players. But yall right. Physically the elder generations are outmatched.

But they had way more heart and more toughness. Many were born in the Jim Crow and Civil Rights era. Drugs started coming around more in the cities. The political correctness and the "anti bullying" and captain save a kid mentality was not around. You fought in school, you played ball to win, you fought on the court.

The NBA image right now is real shaky. They're promoting this new fa9 ha9 culture with the tight pastel colored capris and players being disallowed to show passion. I still watch the NBA but David Stern destroyed the game for marketing reasons . He doesn't like it being synonymous with the "streets"

And the end result is the product you have now.
