Let’s have a mature discussion on hip hop, eras and expectations

There's more than enough great hip hop to listen to but if you're stuck in whatever time period and you need other people to tell you where to find good new music, you're not really looking for it. I might not relate to everything but I can appreciate creativity and pushing the envelope. I wouldn't want to hear the same hip hop I grew up on cause I'm not that person anymore,it would sound stagnant. Not into drill but it's not catered to my experience or palate but I can appreciate it for what is.
I can't understand the new music.
It sounds annoying to my ears when I try to listen to it.
The stuff I love sounded dope immediately and just gets better with subsequent spins.
But the shyt I think is dope doesn't register to young people..
I will say that I've been hearing some stuff lately that's getting better.
