& This is coming from a Cam stan myself

It infuriates ya that someones who's initial role was the hypeman eventually started making better music and had just as much impact on the culture as the front man so ya been attempting to discredit fam career for the longest only for the same exact instance that happened in 2005-2008 where Jim releases the better content happens again 2016 - present , but this time Stack Bundles & Max B isn't present so what new excuse ya got concocted for this one :jbhmm:

Are we prepared to have this discussion or are we going to play dumb today ?

Jim been making better music for a very long time. On My Way To Church really showed what he was capable of, even on Diplomatic Immunity you couldn’t ignore Jimmy’s charisma and skill.

they turned on him when Jimmy went on RapCity with 50 to grab some attention during the beef.
between that and the Max shyt people stopped fukkin with Capo

he also admittedly fell off musically but Jim BEEN better, theres no debating.
he's deservedly getting his props as a veteran making good music and stepping his bars up now.

but the last time a Dipset rapper had anything resembling a bit of a buzz in the tri-state was Cam in summer 2010 with Vado though. funnily enough, that was the time Jim decided to squash the beef was it not ? then they put out Salute.

to use a phrase Cam is fond of, at the end of the day..
as much as Cam casts them away and treats them like shyt if he welcomes them back they all come around.

it is nice to hear Jim say how close the two have gotten again.

Cam says his new project coming out next month and we know that shyt won't be anywhere as good as Jim's.
    snippets sound promising enough.

If anything this proves how important work ethic is. Cam is way more naturally talented as a rapper but Jim worked harder.

Jim took what little musical talent he had and opportunity he was presented and RAN with it. Here he is nearly 20 years later thriving when ppl with more skill and clout than him fell off. Jim's mentality is different. He said he was in the studios with the engineers asking them how the shyt worked. Trying to direct his own and Dipset vids. Etc

    You gotta respect it

Don’t know why y’all constantly feel the need to compare the two. There’s a time for everything- This is Jim’s moment. Without Cam, there would be no Jim and Jim wouldn’t even be in this position. Jim wasn’t contemplating being a rapper, so all this “comparative analysis” is a non issue. Jim and Cam don’t view it as a competition, why should we? I have a musical appreciation for both. But Cam is legacy and started the movement. Jim just happens to be in his prime right now-late bloomer. Cam has history and consistency in his earlier projects- respect is due.

See this is what I'm talking bout , nikkas playing dumb like Jim just got nice , his peak was 2005-2008 and during that time he was making better music than Cam , not now he's having a resurgence that's all ...

That’s the exact word for this - Resurgence. Ive been rocking with Jim since he started branching out with the M.O.B., his sound matured and of course, he’s not going to rap about the same content. Progression. This album was dope-

Jim doesn't write rhymes but he makes better music. Cam was always just a pothead lyricist and I might just be high and drunk at a cookout right now but Wasted Talent is about Cam deliberate or not.
