The Hip Hop and Rap game ain't been the same since and it as a movement fell off right after all of that. Sure there's been a few good or great release here and there over the last 16 years but that overall movement (more classic music outweighing the horrible music) of Hip Hop and Rap music is long gone.

Hard to get over two biggest stars at the time dying in their prime over frivolous shyt.

Anyways you're wrong, big and PAC died and created a movement. The peace, love, and get money movement happened. Rappers from both coast was damn near holding hands with each other and collaborations were at an all time high. The game had went completely soft aka the shiny suit era.

That's my point exactly. After losing 2pac and Biggie, we lost Hip Hop and Rap music as we knew it. The quality of Hip Hop and Rap music was horrible for the most part. Again, this isn't to say that there weren't some good or great releases but it has never been as great as it was pre 98' and back.

I agree. It didnt die after that, but its been a decline since then. We've had many great moments and classics since then. But biggie and pac were the peak

it was already in decline to be honest, mostly because big money was starting to get involved. I think their deaths just coincided with the fall off
