You got a train run on you by two service department mechanics, the manager and a parts department dude who just happened to be passing by.
Just kidding. What about $1200.

$600..parts and labor at an independent shop where the owner owns a 2014 Range Rover
I guess that's a normal price. I usually do my own brake repairs.
These independent brake shops are manned by dudes with high school diplomas. Brake systems are pretty much the same on all cars with a slight difference for anti-lock brakes. If you can fix brake rotors and brake drums on one vehicle, you can do it for pretty much any vehicle. There's not a lot of high-tech involved. Just elbow grease if the caliper is rusted down. :manny: I usually spend around $400 for parts and upgrade to fancy slotted rotors.

brakes/rotors (and all basic maintenance) are pretty simple to do

Youtube it next time, won't ever have to shell out for labor again

$600 Why you ain't just do it yourself :scust:

Google the parts and you will see why I didn't do it myself.

The parts alone were $420 for pads/rotors/sensors....I don't drive a civic :mjlol:

I dont have a lift or air tools at my house..and my lugs are SUPER TIGHT.....also google how much my SUV weighs....:mjlol:

I paid around ~$160 for labor....you cant beat that with a bat...plus Im a IT nikka.....didn't break a sweat

Now lets look at how much my running board were......$1200 installed by the dealer

However I bought them from Cali for $200 and installed them myself.....thats how you balance out when to do something yourself and when to let someone else do it.....

Of course its simple...but there are other things to consider....like how long it will take doing it in my garage....vs a shop...and how much they charge

True...sometimes its easier to take to the shop. Save time or save money....but time is money :ohhh:
So i guess if u bringing in more than the mechanic its better off letting him do it
Never even crossed my mind :snoop:
