Back in MIA
were $420 for pads/rotors/sensors....I don't drive a civic :mjlol:

A full service brake job for pretty much any AMG Mercedes is just under $7,000 for front and back. The first time on my CLS63 I paid Mercedes. The second time I priced out the 2 piece rotors from the dealership ($1,000 for each rotor) to do it myself or turn it over to a mechanic. I ended up selling my car a few months later.

Paying the price of a used Civic each time I needed new brakes and rotors wasn't worth the trouble. That's the last car I'll ever own. 24-27 month leases from here on out.

Hope your Range is in tip top shape. There's a reason that Land Rover is just now starting a certified preowned program after dozens of years. Even they didn't want to foot the bill of their expensive to repair malfunction prone cars.

Their hand was forced on the certified preowned program to try and save depreciation and resale value. Not many other cars/suv out there where you buy it for 120k fully loaded one year....and 3 years later it's worth 30k. Coincidentally right around the time the warranty expires.

I don't know why you would take that car to the dealer if you didn't have a warranty
Also....please show me a 2012-2013 fully loaded Range Rover model that was 120k brand new that is online for 30k

He's exaggerating but he's not wrong, Land Rovers once they are out of Warranty take a 30-40% depreciation hit depending on the model. It used to be waaayyyy worse.

I know but I was just saying Land Rover's depreciate badly and higher priced vehicles in general depreciate faster, not 75% but 55-60%.

If I'm not mistaken brand new this truck was about 115-120k if I'm not mistaken, it has low miles but original warranty expired.

Thats not strange though....

I was going by what he said.....he made a statement saying a 120k Rover after 3 years is 30k...I said "show me"
